Javier Garcerá: And it will pass too

..For Garcerá seeing is feeling that something is eluding us and in his paintings light lets us see, if we insist, what we missed in our first encounter, to witness then an extension of our perceptive sensibility, which provides us with access  to the almost infiniteness of what is painted there. The use of silk as a basis has an impact on this sense: the brightness and reflections produced don’t let us have a complete image of the work and so, the spectators feel overwhelmed by what they are unable to grasp. In the artist’s words: “An inevitable inability places us facing a continuous loss, a loss in which the ones who see can only accept themselves in a determination that fades and is born again at every instant”…
